Our Daily Direction-God’s Things April 15-21, 2024

Mon.  “The Son is the image of the invisible God…For in Him all things were created; things in heaven and on earth.”  Colossians 1:15-16

Jesus created all things.  Praise Him.

Tues.  “He (God) does great things too marvelous to understand.  He performs countless miracles.”  Job 5:9 CSB

All the things God does for us are truly amazing.  Thank Him.

Wed.  “However, as it is written; ‘What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived;-the things God has prepared for those who love Him.  These are the things God has revealed to us by His Spirit.” I Corinthians 2:9-10

God’s Holy Spirit tells us about all the things God has prepared for us.

Thurs.  “Love finds no joy in unrighteousness but rejoices in the truth.  It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”  I Corinthians 13:6-7 CSB

God’s things include His love and how we need to react to it.

Fri.  “Finally, brothers and sister, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things.”  Philippians 4:8

God tells us what things to think about.  Our thoughts affect our whole life.

Sat.  “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law.”  Deuteronomy 29:29

God reveals things for us to share with our children and others.

Sun.  “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”  Romans 8:28

God uses all things for the good of those who love Him and follow Him.

Our Daily Direction-God’s Blessings April 8-14, 2024

Mon.  “He will bless those who fear the Lord-small and great alike.”          Psalm 115:13

Praise the Lord for His promise of blessing to those who know Him.

 

Tues.  “Blessed is the people of whom this is true; blessed is the people whose God is the Lord.”  Psalm 144:15

When we allow God to be Lord, that is boss, of our lives, we will be blessed.

 

Wed.  “I will make them and the places surrounding My hill a blessing.  I will send down showers in season; there will be showers of blessing.”  Ezekiel 34:26

Thank You, Lord for Your showers of blessing we receive every day.

Thurs.  “Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult.  On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.”  I Peter 3:9  

                              We receive blessings when we bless others.

Fri.  “So all who put their faith in Christ share the same blessing Abraham received because of his faith.”  Galatians 3:9 NLT

Faith in Jesus results in blessings.  Look for God’s blessings and praise Him.

Sat.  “On the fourth day they gathered in the Valley of Blessing, which got its name that day because the people praised and thanked the Lord there.”  II Chronicles 20:26 NLT

When we praise and thank the Lord, our valleys will become valleys of blessing.

Sun.  “Bless the Lord, O my soul:  And all that is within me, bless His holy name.”  Psalm 103:1 KJV

As the Lord blesses us, let us bless Him in return.

Our Daily Direction-God’s Kingdom March 11-17, 2024

Mon. “Jesus answered: I tell you for certain that before you can get into God’s kingdom, you must be born not only by water, but by the Spirit.” John 3:5 CEV

We must be born again into God’s family by His Spirit to be in God’s kingdom.

Tues. “Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Your dominion endures though all generations. The Lord is trustworthy in all He promises and faithful in all He does.” Psalm 145:13

God keeps His promises and His kingdom is forever. We have no fear.

Wed. “And He will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; His kingdom will never end.” Luke 1:33

The angel, Gabriel, told Mary that Jesus will reign forever-no end to His kingdom.

Thurs. “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Matthew 6:33

Make Jesus King of your life-His kingdom now and He will take care of the rest.

Fri. “For if you do these things, you will never stumble, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” II Peter 1:10-11

We can look forward to a rich welcome into God’s eternal kingdom.

Sat. “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe.” Hebrews 12:28

Thank You, Lord, Your kingdom cannot be shaken. We worship you.

Sun. “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Messiah, and He will reign forever and ever.” Revelation 11:15

Jesus will reign over the kingdom of the world forever so we can rejoice- no end.

Our Daily Direction-God’s All Things February 26-March 3, 2024

Mon. “For in Him all things were created; things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and for Him.” Colossians 1:16

Jesus created all things. We were created by Him and for Him. We are special.

Tues. “God’s Son was before all else, and by Him everything is held together.” Colossians 1:17 CEV

Jesus holds us together if we let Him. Our free will makes it our call.

Wed. “God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made Him head over all things for the benefit of the church.” Ephesians 1:22 NLT

Jesus is the authority over all things for our freedom. I’m not in charge.

Thurs. “Love bears all things (regardless of what comes), believes all things (looking for the best in each one), hopes all things (remaining steadfast during difficult times), endures all things (without weakening).” I Corinthians 13:7 AMP

Love is the greatest. Let God’s kind of love grow in us each day.

Fri. “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28

There is great joy when we realize that all things are used by God for our good.

 

Sat. “These are the things God has revealed to us by His Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.” I Corinthians 2:10

The Spirit will take us on a search of the deep things of God in His Word.

 

Sun. “And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” II Corinthians 9:8

All things at all times for all needs for good work-All because of Jesus.

Our Daily Direction-God’s Persecutions March 4-10, 2024

Mon. “Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:10

Be happy when hurt by people because you are doing what is right. Not easy!

Tues. “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” Matthew 5:11-12

Be happy when hurt because you are in good company. God’s joy is yours.

Wed. “But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” Matthew 5:44

As we pray for others, our enemies change to be our loved friends. A miracle.

Thurs. “Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master; if they persecuted Me, they will persecute you also.” John 15:20

Jesus was persecuted . Join the group and be prepared before it happens.

Fri. “That is why for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” II Corinthians 12:10

Paul saw persecutions as a delight because he was doing it for Christ’s sake.

Sat. “Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.” Romans 12:14

Lord, thank You for persecutors because I know you are using them to teach me.

Sun. “The persecutions I endured. Yet the Lord rescued me from all of them. In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.” II Timothy 3:11b-12

Thanks, Lord, for how You rescue us and warn us ahead of time to prepare us.

Our Daily Direction-God’s Whatevers. March 25-31, 2024

Mon. “His mother said to the servants, ‘Do whatever He tells you.’ ” John 2:5

May we, servants of the Lord, do whatever Jesus tells us to do.

Tues. “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy- think about such things. Philippians 4:8

This is God’s list of things to think about for us His children. Whatever.

Wed. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” Colossians 3:23-24

What joy, to serve God with all we have in all the work we do even the dirty jobs.

Thurs. “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” Colossians 3:17

Help me, Lord, to be sure my words and deeds echo thanks to God through You.

Fri. “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” I Corinthians 10:31

Forgive me, Lord, for the things I do for my desires rather than for Your glory.

Sat. “Serve wholeheartedly as if you were serving the Lord, not people, because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free.” Ephesians 6:7-8

Our wholehearted service for the Lord will be rewarded.

Sun. “Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.” Mark 13:11

Thank You, Lord, for that promise. We do not have to worry but just need to trust.

Our Daily Direction-God’s Tenderness-February 19-25, 2024

Mon. “We give great honor to those who endure under suffering. For instance, you know about Job, a man of great endurance. You can see how the Lord was kind to him at the end, for the Lord is full of tenderness and mercy.” James 5:11 NLT

Our God is a God full of tenderness.

Tues. “He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies.” Psalm 103:4 NLT

We can feel God’s tenderness in times of death, His love and mercies.

Wed. “The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear Him. For He knows how weak we are; He remembers we are only dust.” Psalm 103:13-14 NLT

Our Lord knows us and responds to us with tenderness.

Thurs. “Surround me with Your tender mercies so I may live, for Your instructions are my delight.” Psalm 119:77 NLT

We could not make it through life without God’s tender mercies He gives daily.

Fri. “Lord, don’t hold back Your tender mercies from me. Let Your unfailing love and faithfulness always protect me.” Psalm 40:11 NLT

Pray for the Lord’s tender mercies and thank Him for His answers.

Sat. “Hear me, O Lord, for Your lovingkindness is good; Turn to me according to the multitude of Your tender mercies.” Psalm 69:16 NKJV

God’s tender mercies do not come in little drops but in tender downpours.

Sun. “Because of the tender mercy of our God, with which the Sunrise (the Messiah) from on high will dawn and visit us.” Luke 1:78 AMP

Because of God’s tender mercy, we have Jesus with us everyday in the Spirit.

Our Daily Direction-God’s Ones February 12-18, 2024

Mon. “What man among you, who has a hundred sheep and loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open field and go after the lost one until he finds it? Luke 15:4 CSB

God searches for each one of us until He finds us-One Sheep.

Tues. “For you know that you were …redeemed with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defeat.” I Peter 1:18-9 “When He had received the drink, Jesus said, ‘It is finished.’ ” John 19:30

Jesus paid it all. He paid for all our sins at Calvary-One Savior.

Wed. “Are these all the sons you have?’ ‘There is still the youngest,’ Jesse answered. ‘He is tending the sheep.’ So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David.” I Samuel 16:11, 13

David gave us the Psalms, a hymnbook of praise, and much more-One Shepherd.

Thurs. “There was also a prophetess, Anna, ..She was well along in years…a widow for 84 years. She did not leave the temple complex, serving God night and day with fasting and prayers.” Luke 2:36-37 HCSB

Anna, serving the Lord night and day with fasting and prayers-One Old Widow.

Fri. “When Jesus saw His mother standing there beside the disciple He loved, He said to her, ‘Dear woman, here is your son.’ And He said to this disciple, ‘Here is your mother.’ And from then on this disciple took her into his home.” John 19:26-27

John, a home for Mary, and wrote 5 New Testament books-One Fisherman

Sat. “Then Mary took about a pint of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus; feet and wiped His feet with her hair.” John 12:3

Mary, Lazarus’ sister, gave her best in worship-One Woman.

Sun. “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners-of whom I am the worst.” I Timothy 1:15

Paul, who wrote about 14 of the books in the New Testament-One Persecutor.

We are God’s One. What does He want us to do for Him?

Our Daily Direction-God’s Agains April 29-May 5, 2024

Mon. “Again the Lord called, ‘Samuel!’ And Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, ‘Here I am; you called me.’ ” I Samuel 3:6

When God calls us, we need to respond the best we know how.

 

Tues. “Once again Jesus went out beside the lake. A large crowd came to Him, and He began to teach them.” Mark 2:13

God called Jesus to teach. He once again went out obeying one step at a time.

Wed. “Therefore Jesus said again, ‘I am the gate; whoever enters through Me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture.’ ” John 10:7, 9

Sometimes, we need to repeat again and again until people get the message.

Thurs. “Again Jesus said, ‘Peace be with you! As the Father has sent Me, I am sending you.’ ” John 20:10

Praise the Lord for His promise of peace that we need to hear again and again.

Fri. “After Jacob returned from Paddan Aram, God appeared to him again and blessed him.” Genesis 35:9

Thank You, Lord, that You bless us again and again.

Sat. “You will again have compassion on us; You will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.” Micah 7:19

God’s compassion never runs out. He buries our sins in the depths of the sea.

 

Sun. “Again, the Scriptures say, ‘Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles. All you nations, come and worship Him.’ ” Romans 15:11

Just keep praising the Lord again and again.

Our Daily Direction-God’s Above All January 29-February 4, 2024

Mon. “For You, Lord, are the Most High over all the earth; You are exalted far above all gods.” Psalm 97:9

Our God is above all gods because they are not gods.

 

Tues. “The One who comes from above is above all…The one who comes from heaven is above all.” John 3:31

Only Jesus, our God came from heaven and went back to heaven and will return.

Wed. “Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.” Ephesians 6:16 NKJV

The shield of faith must be used to defeat Satan.

 

Thurs. “Above all, put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.” Colossians 3:14 CSB

Love must be put on above all for unity.

Fri. “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” Proverbs 4:23

Our job, above all, is to guard our hearts.

Sat. “He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.” Ephesians :10 NKJV

Jesus, who is above all, fills all things in our lives when we make Him Lord.

 

Sun. “Above all, fear the Lord and worship Him faithfully with all your heart; consider the great things He has done for you.” I Samuel 12:24 CSB

Above all, worship the Lord faithfully and tell others about His greatness.
